It's been awhile...

I haven't blogged in a while. Not that I don't want to - I've just been very busy getting my Tupperware business up and running! It has been an interesting past 3 months. Lots of ups and downs. When things are going well and sales are coming in, it feels exciting and energizing! I feel empowered to conquer all of my personal business goals. I've had parties but all of them have been discouraging. I recruited a consultant who flaked out and never communicated with me or my director again. My goal for the month of March was to become a Manager but unfortunately, that goal was not reached. In spite of all my planning, practice, etc my parties have been a bummer. Low attendance and not much buying. Could it be the economy? Could it be me? What I've concluded so far is that starting a business takes a TON of time, thick skin and it certainly doesn't just take off without any setbacks or bummer days. But I'm pushing forward. I'm not going to quit. (even though that thought has crossed my mind more than once) So, you'll still hear from me, the "TupperBabe" (like my husband loving calls me) on this blog! :-)

And stayed tuned, the next sale flyer from Tupperware is very fun! And April and May are GREAT months to host a party - Tupperware treats their hosts VERY well! Contact me to schedule a party! (if you're in Grand Rapids and surrounding areas :-)

Date Night!!!

My husband and I aren't able to go out very much without our kids so it was a real treat for us to go see Brian Regan. We had a great time! We were able to go out to dinner and see the show. Brian's brother Dennis Regan (writes for Kings of Queens and other things) came out first and he was very funny! Brian's show lasted over an hour! We had a great time! It was great to take a break in our busy schedule to spend quality time together! Highly recommended!

I love to be organized!

So I took Tupperware's Modular Mates my.tupperware.com/gapmlm and reorganized our kitchen! I love having all my baking ingredients in one cupboard and at my fingertips! I also love keeping our pasta, rice, cereal, snacks, etc. fresh in the airtight containers! My husband loves having all his lunch items in one container very organized. He gets up really early and makes less noise now that he has less things he has to open, bump and fumble.

My kids always keep me guessing...

Just when I think I know my kids and how they will respond to certain situations, they surprise me! For example, my son and I recently went with his class for a gymnastics field trip. Well, my son is a crazy, dare devil, adventurous boy so I figured he would love all the jumping, tumbling, etc. involved with gymnastics. He did enjoy our time there, however, when he got a turn on the huge trampolines (the ones built into the floor) there was NO WAY he wanted to try. I was so surprised because I figured he would love those trampolines!! It just goes to show that just when I have my kids figured out, they surprise me! Never a dull moment....

Guys and big trucks

What is it with guys and big trucks? My husband LOVES big trucks; big diesel, turbo charged trucks. (Yup, I know some of the lingo) Well, my son is following in his footsteps. Which is why he was super excited to get to ride along with my husband this morning. My husband needed to work for a few hours and Austin got to ride along. What a special outing. My two big boys head out on the road....

Want to make a cake in 12-14 minutes???

You can with Tupperware's Heat 'N Serve Round Container (6 1/4 cup/1.5L capacity)

Take:
18.25 oz pkg chocolate cake mix
3 egg whites
1/4 cup water
21 oz can strawberry filling

In the Tupperware Mix-N-Stor Plus Pitcher, combine all ingredients, blending well with Tupperware's Saucy Silicone Spatula. Spray the Heat 'N Serve Round Container with cooking spray. Pour batter into container, put the lid on and place in microwave. Microwave with 70% power for 12 minutes (depending on microwave power); cake should pull away from sides slightly and be slightly sticky on top. Toothpick should test clean when inserted into center of cake. If necessary, microwave an additional minute and check; repeat until done. Cool 4-5 minutes and invert into serving plate. Cool completely.

With Tupperware's Squeeze It Decorator, add whipped cream or frosting around the base of cake and on top of cake. Place sliced strawberries around cake and fill center with additional strawberries.

In very little time, you have a VERY yummy dessert to offer drop in guests, etc.

The Heat 'N Serve Round Container is on sale until March 13! The Squeeze It Decorator is also on sale! If you would like to know more about any of these products, visit my website at my.tupperware.com/gapmlm

Skiing??? Oh boy - I haven't gone skiing since high school...

Well, my family really wanted to ski and we were able to find a day that was cheaper.... so I guess no more excuses. We were going skiing! I was petrified once I got to the top of the practice hill. Twice I took off my skis and WALKED down the hill. But my husband encouraged me, gave me a few tips and reminded me to have confidence that the skis WILL stop me. Well, I took his advice and was able to actually go down the hill - several times. And it was a lot of fun! I didn't end up going down any bigger hills but maybe next time....
